Helix Resume glitch
I have been calling Videotron support since December about an issue with the "resume" feature. I cannot watch 2 events at the same time (with 2 recorded) as the resume always goes back to the start of the recorded program. Illico did not require you to record 1 of the programs. You could just go between the 2 and it would resume properly. 2 or 8 programs were automatically being recorded. In any case, I have been trying to get info on when this would be fixed. No help at all. But I was told that Videotron uses Comcast Xfinity SW. Which I did not know. Turns out this is not a bug. I'm not sure which is more frustrating: Not having the primary feature for which I have Helix (recording sports) or no one at Videotron seemingly being aware of the issueUtsie1809-03-2026Initiate10Vues0like0CommentaireHelix sous Linux
I have always had this issue, but disregarded it because I didn't watch too much TV. However, now that the Olympics are on, I've been watching much more often. The issue I'm experiencing is that every time I watch Helix TV, after a few minutes, the three dots appear on the screen as if it's loading something. After sometime, the error message shows up "This channel is temporarily unavailable". While this is happening, I can hear the sound of the channel in the background, and can change channels, but I can't see anything except the 3 dots. Clicking "Try Again" or "Cancel" does not do anything. Guide still works and the Helix button brings up the menu, but when anything is selected, it just shows the 3 dots loading. The only thing that fixes this is to unplug the box and plug it back in, but then after a few minutes the problem starts up again. I have tried changing HDMI cables, changing the Helix box from the old (Gen 1) to the more recent (Gen 2), but still am having the same problem. Please see the screenshot for a better understanding. Has anyone experienced this before, and if so, what was the solution?MrRoarke11-02-2026Initiate40Vues0like1CommentaireHow does www.lowes.com survey improve shopping?
The plays an important role in improving the overall shopping experience for customers. By collecting honest feedback directly from shoppers, Lowe’s gains insight into what is working well and what needs improvement in their stores and services. Customers can share their opinions about staff behavior, product availability, store cleanliness, checkout speed, and overall satisfaction. This feedback helps the company identify recurring issues and take corrective action quickly. Another benefit is that customers feel heard and valued when their opinions are requested. This creates stronger trust and loyalty between shoppers and the brand. The survey also helps Lowe’s adapt to changing customer expectations, such as better in-store assistance or smoother online-to-store experiences. Over time, these small improvements lead to better service quality, improved employee training, and a more enjoyable shopping environment. Overall, the survey acts as a bridge between customers and management, ensuring continuous improvement based on real customer experiences.kelvinW8923-01-2026Initiate29Vues0like1CommentaireMistakes to avoid while doing report writing.
Report Writing Service can be a hassle for students, as they have to avoid mistakes and make it look formal and presentable. Students make mistakes, and when they submit their report with those mistakes, it can cause frustration, and their grade can go down. Avoid these mistakes to submit a formal report. The main problem is the structure of the report; if your report does not have a proper structure, then it can look messy and show a lack of attention. Inaccurate or irrelevant information can portray a bad image of your report, so double-check the information before adding it to the report.hadiyasultan20-12-2025Initiate34Vues0like0CommentaireIssue with HELIX Recording Playback
With Helix, do all recorded programs start from the beginning when you play them again? I could swear that if you played a recorded show and paused it after X minutes, changed the channel and then came back to watch the recorded program, it would start from where you paused, not from the beginning. It is not doing that anymore. Was there a firmware update that changed this? I know for a fact that it was not always like this because I would record a sporting event and play it while watching another live show by going back and forth between the two. When I went back to play the recorded sporting event, it would play from where I paused. But now it always starts from the beginning of the recording.rpridham10-12-2025Chevalier545Vues2likes5CommentairesQuestions about Crave
Hi, I have a few questions about Crave. My understanding is that this is a streaming provider other than Videotron, right? If I want to watch something on Crave I have to logon to a Crave site, right? Are there requirements for Videotron members to subscribe to Crave? As Videotron members, do we get a discount subscribing to Crave? To people watching Crave, how is it? Not worth it because its mostly old new shows Takes months before something new shows up Kind of interesting to watch New stuffs on it but not as much as Netflix nor Amazon Prime Totally worth it Is there a way to see Crave's schedule to get an idea on what kind of show/movies they have? Personnaly, from the adds on Videotron TV mentionning Crave, I have seen only one show that I would be interesting to see. The others did not interest me.Browser-ice05-09-2025Samurai682Vues0like2CommentairesTV now boring, nothing new, same shows, same movies, for the past 2-3 years
Is anyone finding that anything shows on TV is now boring, its same shows rerun, same movies every 2-3 months, nothing is new, just replays? A few years ago, I was watching TV series that I liked but they moved away to private streaming companies. What is left on TV is boring. I am not a fan of sports. To start watching again the shows I used to love, I would have to subscribes to 3-4 different streaming companies. Every 1-3 months its the same movies playing that I saw like 3 times at least (Avengers, Transformers, ...). There is nothing new. I am up to the point where I hardly ever watch TV. My wife watches it but she never complains. She hasn't seen them all yet. So am I the only one who thinks that way now?
Merci,JPLavigne13-06-2025Initiate161Vues0like1CommentaireHelix remote code rate?

Because Videotron is my ISP where I live in Kirkland, I am allowed to use their HELIX app on my mobile and non-mobile devices when I am away from my home. Up until a week ago, I could use the HELIX app on my iPad and iPhone when I was visiting my family member who lives near Valleyfield in spite of the family member not being a Videotron customer. The HELIX app was also working on a Windows PC and a FIRE TV at the same location near Valleyfield using my own HELIX account. A week ago, the family member's ISP (Groupe-Acces Communication/Centre Tess) suddenly closed their business and she was forced to subscribe to a new ISP (Targo), who quickly installed a new fibre optic service with a new modem/router. After this installation, the HELIX app continued to work perfectly on all our devices except on the family member’s FIRE TV. The moment any navigation button was pressed on the TV's remote, the HELIX app took exactly 150 seconds to complete the request. I consulted with GOOGLE AI who suggested that I try connecting the TV to the Videotron HELIX servers using the wi-fi hotspot connection of my iPhone. Doing so corrected the problem, so GOOGLE was satisfied that neither the TV nor its HELIX app was corrupted. I told GOOGLE that the Targo supplied router was making IPv6 available to the TV along with IPv4, and GOOGLE suggested that our 5 year old Toshiba FIRE TV might not have been designed to handle IPv6 efficiently and was taking 150 seconds before defaulting to IPv4. GOOGLE suggested that I ask Targo to remotely turn off IPv6 on our router, which they did, but this did not help. Yesterday, I connected (cascaded) the old router, that previously allowed the FIRE TV to successfully operate the HELIX app with our former ISP, to the new Targo router using a WAN to LAN Ethernet cable. That solved the problem and allowed the HELIX app to run properly on the FIRE TV. Today, I turned off the old router's wireless network so that there would only be one wireless network in the house and the only device that would use the old router would be the FIRE TV. I should point out that we always connect the FIRE TV to its router using an Ethernet cable. I believe that this workaround succeeds because the old TP-LINK router (circa 2012) has a firmware design that allows the communication from the FIRE TV's HELIX app to travel successfully between Targo and Videotron servers, whereas the modern Targo fibre optic router (also TP-LINK), doesn't. There is also the chance that 5 years ago, I tinkered with the old router to force it to route via the Google’s public DNS server (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4). Apparently going via the GOOGLE DNS cuts Targo out of the loop, so any incompatibilities between Targo and Videotron are no longer an issue. It remains a mystery to me as to whether it was Targo or Videotron who was waiting 150 second before issuing a timeout error. So if you are running HELIX on a FIRE TV that resides in a remote residence not connected to VIDEOTRON and the home owner there is forced to subscribe to a different ISP, don’t throw away the old router.kirklanduser06-06-2025Chevalier324Vues0like5Commentaires
