Issue with HELIX Recording Playback
With Helix, do all recorded programs start from the beginning when you play them again? I could swear that if you played a recorded show and paused it after X minutes, changed the channel and then came back to watch the recorded program, it would start from where you paused, not from the beginning. It is not doing that anymore. Was there a firmware update that changed this? I know for a fact that it was not always like this because I would record a sporting event and play it while watching another live show by going back and forth between the two. When I went back to play the recorded sporting event, it would play from where I paused. But now it always starts from the beginning of the recording.

Helix recordings used to resume from where you paused, but after a recent firmware/software update they now restart from the beginning. This change isn’t user error—it’s tied to how playback state is handled, and only Videotron can restore the old resume feature in a future update.
Apparently, the resume feature was removed because of a patent dispute. It really sucks that you have to start from the beginning each time.
This is exactly the same issue I wanted to point out. It's very inconvenient when shows can't be paused and resumed. It's now necessary to note the time recording is paused and fast foreward to resume play. I hope Videotron fixes this problem. It's too bad my retirement residence does not permit the option of changing providers, otherwise I'd change it immediately.
Me too its been like this for couple months now its a real pain to always have to go back and do it manually..are u still having the issue or its back to normal now?

We're currently updating the feature that allows our customers to replay the recordings and movies where they left off. This is why for the moment it doesn't work. It will be available again very shortly. We apologize for this issue.
