Issue with HELIX Recording Playback
With Helix, do all recorded programs start from the beginning when you play them again? I could swear that if you played a recorded show and paused it after X minutes, changed the channel and then came back to watch the recorded program, it would start from where you paused, not from the beginning. It is not doing that anymore. Was there a firmware update that changed this? I know for a fact that it was not always like this because I would record a sporting event and play it while watching another live show by going back and forth between the two. When I went back to play the recorded sporting event, it would play from where I paused. But now it always starts from the beginning of the recording.
How to change settings so paused show doesn’t go to live TV after a few minutes?
Hello, I am new to Videotron and Helix. I’ve noticed that if I leave a pre-recorded show on pause for more than 5-10 minutes, the show is exited and it returns to live TV. I don’t like this - I’ve paused my show for a reason, and when I’m ready I want to just press play without having to open up my saved programs again. Could someone tell me how to fix this? This doesn’t appear to be part of the screensaver settings, as I have that set to turn on only after 5 hours, and besides, it’s not going into a power saving mode - it just goes to live TV, even though I hadn’t been watching live TV before.
