TV now boring, nothing new, same shows, same movies, for the past 2-3 years

Is anyone finding that anything shows on TV is now boring, its same shows rerun, same movies every 2-3 months, nothing is new, just replays?

A few years ago, I was watching TV series that I liked but they moved away to private streaming companies.  What is left on TV is boring.  I am not a fan of sports.   To start watching again the shows I used to love, I would have to subscribes to 3-4 different streaming companies.

Every 1-3 months its the same movies playing that I saw like 3 times at least (Avengers, Transformers, ...).  There is nothing new.

I am up to the point where I hardly ever watch TV.  My wife watches it but she never complains.  She hasn't seen them all yet.

So am I the only one who thinks that way now?

  • Hello!

Yes, you're definitely not alone in finding traditional TV boring and repetitive. This common sentiment stems from the shift of new, high-quality content to numerous streaming services, which now produce most original shows and films and pull older favorites into their exclusive libraries. Consequently, linear TV upsers com channels rely more on reruns, syndicated movies, reality TV, and news, leaving a fragmented and less appealing selection for viewers who prefer fresh, on-demand content.

  • Hello,
You're definitely not alone—many feel traditional TV has become stale with endless reruns and limited fresh content. Streaming services grabbed the originals and split them across platforms, making it costly to follow favorites. It’s a common frustration in today’s fragmented media landscape. paybyplatema

  • You've perfectly described the modern streaming fatigue. It's frustrating when your favorite shows are scattered across 3-4 different paid platforms, leaving regular TV feeling stale and repetitive. There is a solution that consolidates this scattered content. Instead of paying for multiple subscriptions, many are turning to the Moviebox pro application. This platform provides centralized access to a vast library of movies and TV series, including those exclusive shows you miss, all from a single, user-friendly interface. To explore this option for free and rediscover your love for entertainment, always download it securely from their official website to ensure safety and get the latest updates.

  • I feel the same way. It seems that all that's on regular network tv nowadays is reality shows, game shows, singing shows sports and enough reruns of The Big Bang Theory to make one hate that show. And many of the new shows are rehashed from the past (Matlock, Magnum P.I., The Equalizer, etc.).

I think the reason all the good shows are on streaming is simply money. They give us trailers on network TV but if we want to see more, we have to subscribe to that streaming channel. It's called show business for a reason. 😊

  • Hello,
You're not alone—TV has become repetitive, with reruns and recycled blockbusters dominating the schedule. Streaming fragmentation makes it worse, forcing viewers to juggle multiple subscriptions just to access fresh content. Many are tuning out for the same reason. MyAARPMedicare
