VoLTE: ETA on if and when this will launch on Videotron
Just switched from Rogers for a much better customer service experience, and much more affordable prices. Just wondering if anyone had any idea on if and when VoLTE will be launched on Videotron? ...

Hi! While Videotron subscribers are currently unable to log into CTV's own streaming service, you should most definitely have access to their on-demand content on your Helix terminal. Press on the "Helix" button, go to "On-demand", navigate to the right to "Channels". You will then be able to select "CTV" and see their on-demand content. Else, you can also do a voice search for your favorite show and see if it's available on-demand.
This being said, you can also access on-demand content from lots of channels online through the helix.videotron.com website or through the Helix mobile app.

I was connected to wifi when trying to register for VoWifi. I shall call later today to activate VoLTE

Outside of having a compatible SIM card + phone, having the VoLTE service activated in your account is the final thing before getting VoWIFI.

Can confirm that VoLTE and VoWifi work on the S8 Plus with the Oreo update.
Can also confirm that even if the other person does not have VoLTE, calls are still made in LTE

VoWIFI is done by the client in the phone settings
