6 SujetsS21Ultra: I don't have an HD or VoLTE status indicator
I do have VoLTE enabled in Settings, LTE is selected (I'm usually on band 4 or 12) but I don't see what Samsung calls a "IMS Network Status Indicator" - I expect it is a "HD+" icon. Also, I have never seen a wideband codec in use, just AMR NB while on calls to other mobiles that support VoLTE. My old Mate 20 pro has always shown an HD icon. EDIT : I ran a quick test, with VOLTE enabled, data stays on LTE, without it, it drops to 4G. So it VoLTE works, it's just the indicator missing.Résolu4,8 kVues0like6CommentairesS21 Ultra bought from Samsung Canada - will VoLTE and VoWiFi work on Videotron?
According to Samsung, yes, but they just want to sell phones. There was a time when carriers had restrictions and these 2 features were limited to the phones sold by them. I did get them however on a Samsung bought from another carrier, but that's not the same as from Samsung. Apparently the first 6 digits of IMEI might be used as a discriminator...is it still the case? To me this would violate the Wireless Code. Thanks in advance.Résolu6,6 kVues0like3CommentairesHuawei Mate 20 Pro - VoLTE support
I see that P20 prois listed in the "supported phone list" but not Mate 20Pro. Is the list just not updated yet or the device is simply not supported? Sefcond question: if my current account is VoLTE enabled (and working) do I need to do anything extra when the phone IS actually supported?Résolu25 kVues0like27CommentairesWhy no VoLTE when switching from Contract to BYOD?
Hi, I have a Galaxy S7 that I got through contract from you. My contract came up and I switched to a BYOD plan. Now I am told that VoLTE is not compatible with BYOD discount. The Videotron website says: "Customers subscribed to a Videotron service but with no agreement, and who own an unlocked VoLTE-compatible iPhone with VoLTE SIM card can use the VoLTE feature. However, they need to activate the feature before being able to use it. Customers subscribed to a Videotron service but with no agreement, and who own an Android device cannot use the VoLTE feature." Why is this? It can't be a thing chnical issue since my phone had VoLTE while I was on contract. So this is a policy and it puts non iPhone phones at a disadvantage. Thanks.Résolu15 kVues0like17CommentairesVoLTE: ETA on if and when this will launch on Videotron
Just switched from Rogers for a much better customer service experience, and much more affordable prices. Just wondering if anyone had any idea on if and when VoLTE will be launched on Videotron? They already have the devices, and their LTE network is actually pretty decent already.Résolu30 kVues1like45Commentaires
