VoLTE: ETA on if and when this will launch on Videotron
Just switched from Rogers for a much better customer service experience, and much more affordable prices. Just wondering if anyone had any idea on if and when VoLTE will be launched on Videotron? They already have the devices, and their LTE network is actually pretty decent already.
We are always concerned about offering the best products to our customers, so we will introduce calls on LTE (VoLTE) as soon as the technology is tested and stable, which is on its way to completion.
While it's great to see that VoLTE has finally been launched, I must say that to not launch with Android support was a little disappointing, especially since I purchased my device through Videotron.
Mods and staff at Videotron, could we please get an ETA on VoLTE deployment on android devices?

Could we get an update on if and when Videotron plans to roll out VOLTE to unlocked android phones? It seems unlocked iPhones that aren not from Videotron have no issue with this, so just wondering when this will also happen to compatible android phones not bought from Videotron.

As long as Videotron hasn't made a public annoncement, take the rest with a grain of salt.

Josee, Patrick said in 2017, which is coming to an end. So it seems like you guys do have information on that.

There might have been a misunderstanding. To me the question was, when VoLTE will be launched on Videotron? Therefore, in my answers I was talking about a date of release, and not about whether the service will be offered or not by Videotron. Sorry about that

VoLTE is currently being worked on. No date of availability for this feature has been announced yet, but stay tuned as it will be announced in due time!
so after a little idgging into VoWifi and VoLTE on the S8 and Note 8, it seems the targeted release date is in spring 2018:

I just updated by S8+ to Android this morning and it told me that VoWifi was now available but I needed a VoLTE sim card. I will be switching SIM cards later tonight and test to see if indeed the newer Samsung's have this feature
so switched to a VoLTE sim card and the VoLTE and VoWifi options both appeared. However I can't register for the VoWifi and I don't have anyone I can use VoLTE with at the moment

-Do you have the VoLTE service activated in your account before activating VoWIFI? (gotta call to do so)
-Are you connected to a wifi network while trying to activate VoWIFI?
