Streaming Spotify from Helix to a Yamaha RX-V4A
I have Helix TV and a Yamaha Rx-V4A receiver. The receiver has WiFi and is able to stream music from various sources such as Amazon and various radio stations that also broadcast on the Internet. What I would like to do is "forward" Spotify from the Helix box to my receiver (no TV). Is this possible and if so how do I do it?? The Helix app I installed on my Samsung phone is of no use or I'm missing something.JohnG12-12-2024Initiate4,7 kVues0like8Commentaires- GReuter12-16-2024Disciple2,6 kVues3likes1Commentaire
Where can I find a list of upcoming 4K events that will air on the 4K channel (910) ?
I'd like to know where I could find the list of all upcoming events that will air in 4K (UHD) on the 4K UHD channel 910? I love my UHD terminal and being able to watch 4K content on the 910 channel :)RésoluMcFly12-07-2024Samurai13 kVues1like7CommentairesChannel 124

Hello, just switched to Helix from illico TV and although the Internet speeds are better, the Helix TV is not as good as illicoTv. 1. Illico TV when you were on a channel and something comes up where you can't continue to watch your show, you press record and it would record from start to end. On Helix TV it does not do that, it records at the point in time you pressed record. 2. On Helix TV you have the option to restart a show. However it does not allow you to fast forward, you have to press Go to Live and then rewind to reach the point in time that you want. If you went too far by mistake, you can't forward... You have to go live and then rewind. What the heck functionality is that!!?? 3. Illico TV had 1 hour buffer, Helix TV has 25 minutes. If you wanted to go back 30 minutes in time. You have to restart, go to live, then rewind 30 minutes. Can't fast forward, and what is annoying is that some shows you can fast forward so it's not consistent. I have 30 days to go back to illico. However can you stay on Helix internet and go back to Illico TV??? If they can put the 1 hour buffer, record the start of a show if you were on the channel from the beginning, fast forwarding in on demand on Helix TV that would already be a good step in the right direction.dannylam2411-29-2024Initiate1,8 kVues0like4CommentairesIllico Multi-recorders
Hi there, We have two Illico 8642HD recorders - one in the basement and one in the living room. We used to be able to watch recording on the other recorders. Since this morning, I cannot. Is this something that changed from Videotron did I lose a config? If so how do I get it back? Thx for your assistanceLehj1611-23-2024Disciple193Vues0like1CommentaireHelix Apps - not in US App Store - Apple
I recently purchased a Helix subscription and tried to download the apps but my iPhone is in the US App Store. I can’t switch to the Canadian App Store because I currently have subscriptions that I’ve paid for from the US App Store which I will lose if I switch. Why aren’t the helix apps available in the US App Store? I know this seems like a niche problem, but I feel like I’m missing out on the whole experience without the apps, especially the TV app. Are there any work arounds?Mchris00711-21-2024Initiate1,8 kVues0like2CommentairesHélix in Florida
Hi community. I am spending the winter in Florida. My helix is recording programs back home in Saint Jerome. When I try to watch my pre-recorded programs or live television here in Florida, I get an error message saying that I do not have access in this country. I have installed a VPN with an IP address in Montreal I still have no access to my recorded programming or live television. Has anyone found a workaround for this problem?JAK11-08-2024Initiate303Vues0like0CommentaireHelix to old tv: HDMI to RCA converter box - which one are you using?
Hi, I have changed my Videotron account to Helix but I have an old analog TV (tube). This is causing the TV images to be a bit bigger then the TV screen and all Helix menus are 2x the size of the TV screen. The tech said I need to buy an HDMI to 3RCA converter but the one I bought does not work. I think its because it does not have an NTSC/PAL switch on it. I ordered one at Amazon (haven't received it yet) but I noticed its power is from an USB plug that has to be on a PC. Apparently the majority of those converters sold by Amazon are getting their power that way. I could not find this elsewhere. I would need to use a USB power adapter but I hope the watts will be OK. So in the mean time, for those that are in the same situation, what converter did you get and from where (assuming it does the job right)? I know I should buy a flat screen tv but my current budget is low. I switched to Helix to save money. I will get one later but right now don't tell me this.RésoluBrowser-ice09-27-2024Chevalier1,7 kVues0like2CommentairesFlash survey: How do you watch TV?
I'm curious to know how you are currently consuming your TV content? Are you the "zapping" type on live TV? Do you prefer to record all your favorite shows so you can listen to them without intermission? Are you the king of binge watching with video-on-demand? Do you listen to all your content on your mobile phone with an app? or do you have other TV consumption habits? And does the rest of your family have the same habits? Now is the right time to discuss! We want your opinion on the subject. Vincent Quigley Your Community ManagerVincentQ09-24-2024Rédacteur Web6,4 kVues0like5CommentairesRe: Enregistrements à long terme
Hello, I faced similar kind of issue last time, I am still searching for some proper solution. Sometimes, issues like "data not available" can be due to temporary technical glitches or updates in the system. These usually get resolved fairly quickly.
