Hélix in Florida
Hi community. I am spending the winter in Florida. My helix is recording programs back home in Saint Jerome. When I try to watch my pre-recorded programs or live television here in Florida, I get an error message saying that I do not have access in this country. I have installed a VPN with an IP address in Montreal I still have no access to my recorded programming or live television. Has anyone found a workaround for this problem?

This is a known issue with Hélix geo-restrictions. Even with a VPN, some services detect and block VPN traffic. Try switching VPN providers or servers, ideally one optimized for streaming. Also clear app cache and cookies. If that fails, contacting Videotron support may help reauthorize access from your current IP. AESSuccess
