Helix Recordings during a power outage

Hello,

The other evening we had a power outage for most of the night and all my Helix  pre-set recordings were recorded in full during the evening. 

Videotron can you explain how this is done with the technology behind it? Does it have to do with the fact that that your Helix tv terminal has its recordings on your cloud server?
