Will I be taxed twice if I choose to go with the Helix TV and Internet plan? If I pay all taxes upfront on equipment that is “rent to own” over 24 months, will I be taxed again on the monthly instalment payments over the 24 month period?

I believe it's not possible (legally) for Videotron to charge you twice for government taxes.

The first Helix bill usually has the equipement taxes and the following months are just the base price of the device per month.
