Port forwarding using ip adress - Helix Fi
Hi, I'm trying to portforward a port to a server running linux. I know for a fact the device is connected to the internet via my helix router. However, it doesnt show up in the list of connected device on the app. Therefore when i try to create a port forwarding rule my server doesnt show in the possible devices to forward to. I, very annoyingly, cant just enter the ip adress to port forward to. Is there a workaround to this badly designed system? Or is there a way to use an ip adress when setting up port forwarding? Edit: The server doesnt use an IPv6 adress. I can ping the gateway from the server without any packet loss
Blocked ports on Helix
I was surprised when I started looking at my firewall logs and doing test myself that it now seems that Helix is letting through some tcp & udp ports that were previously blocked in the past. Can someone from Videotron check if someone removed an ACL on your side? ThanksSamsung soundbar interfering with Wifi?
Hi. A friend of mind was told that his Samsung soundbar will interfere with the WiFi signal from his Helix gateway. I also have a Samsung sound bar and a regularly have my WiFi signal interrupted when using my iPad, computer and game console. Especially annoying when in an on-line meeting. Is their any merit to that? I followed every trouble shooting tip to try to alleviate this problem, but without success. That's my last guest as to what might explain these regular interruptions. Thanks.
