Odd phone call

About once a month I get a phone call on my Videotron landline.

I answer, say hello, no one answers for about 10 seconds, then a female voice says "goodbye". Always the same voice, always the same inflection. 

Does anyone else get the same call? 

Should I be worried?

Is it an automated system checking to see if anyone is at home?

    should be worried? probably not... 

    it's probably some spam or dialing error. 

     

    is it always coming from the same caller id (if caller id is shown)? if yes, you could probably look on the internet to see from where this is coming from... or maybe ask videotron to block this number.

      Thanks for your help. My usual phone does not have a display so I will get one that can record the callers number.
