A bit more courtesy from Videotron
The ice storm has caused many outages. Videotron should have sent an email to all customers to explain the situation, rather than each customer having to figure out why there is no Internet, why phone devices are sporadic, etc. It is unprofessional not to send out a simple messasi everyone is informed. On TV display of caller id.

Port land line to cell
Hello All, I was wondering if it was possible to port a land line numebr to a cell phone? Here is the situation: I moved (6 months ago) and did not bring the land line number (Bell) with us. We had that number for ~25 years. Is it still possible to get that number back and port it to a cell phone? Thanks.

About once a month I get a phone call on my Videotron landline. I answer, say hello, no one answers for about 10 seconds, then a female voice says "goodbye". Always the same voice, always the same inflection. Does anyone else get the same call? Should I be worried? Is it an automated system checking to see if anyone is at home?
