Forwarding ports in Helix Fi app not actually forwarding them
Hello, I've used my Helix Fi app to forward ports. For some reason, some ports do open and others don't. I.e. on the same device, I have 9443 open (and showing as such on various online tools) but then 443, 80, 82 and 8221 are marked as open by Helix Fi, but the same online tools are showing them as closed. Any reason why? I've looked online and haven't seen a mention of Vidéotron blocking those specific ports. Thank you
Access Windows PC de l'extérieur avec port-forwarding
J'ai essayé de mettre en place un port-forwarding pour que de l'extérieur de chez moi, je puisse utiliser Windows Remote Desktop pour accéder à mon PC à la maison, mais en n'utilisant pas le port standard pour minimiser les resques de piratage. Ca a marché dans le passé, mais plus maintenant. Ci-bas une capture d'écran dand Helix Fi. C'est comme ça, non?
Port forwarding impossible pour ethernet?
Bonjour Port forwarding. Il semble que si l'appareil n'est pas connecté en wifi mais plutôt par ethernet, il ne sera pas visible à sélectionner dans la liste comme "device" pour ajouter un port forwarding. Ya t-il un moyen de contourner cette limite? Il y a un an ou deux, c'était possible même pour un appareil connecté en ethernet puisque j'ai encore une ancienne règle active pour mon PC et elle fonctionne.
Port forwarding using ip adress - Helix Fi
Hi, I'm trying to portforward a port to a server running linux. I know for a fact the device is connected to the internet via my helix router. However, it doesnt show up in the list of connected device on the app. Therefore when i try to create a port forwarding rule my server doesnt show in the possible devices to forward to. I, very annoyingly, cant just enter the ip adress to port forward to. Is there a workaround to this badly designed system? Or is there a way to use an ip adress when setting up port forwarding? Edit: The server doesnt use an IPv6 adress. I can ping the gateway from the server without any packet loss
Port Fowarding Helix FI App
I have spent the better part of January 2024 trying to setup port forwarding on a handful of PC's. All are connected to the Helix Technicolor CGM4140COM either through a switch or directly via RJ45 patch cable(s). Having been a Videotron / Helix customer for a number of years I have always known this process to be nightmarish. Three of the five devices that require ports to be forwarded are nowhere to be found when attemtpting to configure PF manually. By nowhere I am referring to both Connected Devices / Online Devices - Private Network and Offline Devices. What I find odd is that most of the devices that are available and "Connected to your WiFi" happen to be wireless devices. If only the app allowed for manual entry of the device's IP address directly when going to WiFi / Advanced settings / Port forwarding / Add Port Forward. Instead of Select the device for this port forward. Your time, patience, and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
