Port forwarding using ip adress - Helix Fi

Hi,

I'm trying to portforward a port to a server running linux. I know for a fact the device is connected to the internet via my helix router. However, it doesnt show up in the list of connected device on the app.

Therefore when i try to create a port forwarding rule my server doesnt show in the possible devices to forward to. I, very annoyingly, cant just enter the ip adress to port forward to. Is there a workaround to this badly designed system? Or is there a way to use an ip adress when setting up port forwarding?

Edit:

The server doesnt use an IPv6 adress.

I can ping the gateway from the server without any packet loss

Good afternoon tyrede, we would like to verify this with you, we will write to you in private. Thank you!

Same issue.  Were you ever successful?  I want to remotely access my windows server but not use the default well-known port 3389.  Every time I get the list of potential machines to forward to, some different names appear.  Agree with "Why can't I just enter te LAN IP address of the machine I want to go to?" Frustratingly, I had this working at one point and it no longer works.  My redirection entry is gone.  Maybe the other person with the router admin password did something, waiting to hear back from him.

is it possible you have a static ip address on the linux server?  I have that issue.  Have no idea what to do.
