Is bridge mode really passthru?
I just switched from regular modem from videotron to Helix. I have put helix in bridge mode. Since then, I am not able to connect to my FTP server at home. When connecting the helix portal via the web interface, nothing is related to firewall. And since I am in bridge mode, I cannot use the Helix app. So Is there anything I am missing?
Looking to move to Helix but want to keep using our own router
Hi! I've seen some similar discussions as this one but that are a bit older. Also, first time posting:) We are looking to move to Helix and we would have one terminal to be used with our TV, which is not a smart tv:) However, for the wifi, I want to keep our own router. What options do we have? I read some info on videotron.com about enabling bridge mode on the gateway but this disables wifi. At the same time, I'm assuming that the tv terminal can only work with the gateway. Does this mean that the only option would be to connect the tv terminal with a network cable? Or is there another option. I would like to keep things as is with our own router. Pourquoi il faut appeler le service a la clientèle une fois par année pour les payment préautorisés? Et pourquoi les employés de Vidéotron ne sont jamais assez intelligent pour comprendre le problème? Il dise toujours d'appeler le service a la clientèle, mais devoir les appeler a chaque année pour un appel de plus qu'une heure c'est justement le problème! Et le problème reviens toujours!
Access Windows PC de l'extérieur avec port-forwarding
J'ai essayé de mettre en place un port-forwarding pour que de l'extérieur de chez moi, je puisse utiliser Windows Remote Desktop pour accéder à mon PC à la maison, mais en n'utilisant pas le port standard pour minimiser les resques de piratage. Ca a marché dans le passé, mais plus maintenant. Ci-bas une capture d'écran dand Helix Fi. C'est comme ça, non?
