Two numbers on account: What happens to secondary number if primary number is ported out?

I currently have an account with my number as the "main" number, and my wife's as the secondary number. If I sign up with another provider (fizz), what will happen to my wife's number? Will it just become the primary one, or will the account close and she'll lose her number/service?
