A bit more courtesy from Videotron

The ice storm has caused many outages. Videotron should have sent an email to all customers to explain the situation, rather than each customer having to figure out why there is no Internet, why phone devices are sporadic, etc. It is unprofessional not to send out a simple messasi everyone is informed. We published a message on all of our social media, as well as here and on many pages of our website as we try to react as rapidly as possible to notify our clients 

 

I will however sent your suggestion to the interested party internally.
