Mobility outside Quebec

Videotron and Freedom Mobile are part of the same company, Quebecor, but the experience outside their home coverage areas can depend on your plan and location. Both can use partner networks through roaming agreements when their own towers aren't available, so you can still get service in provinces where neither has much coverage. However, roaming coverage, data allowances, speeds, and any additional charges may vary by plan. I'd be interested to hear from people who have used either service extensively in places like Atlantic Canada or the Prairies. Is the roaming reliable for calls and data, or are there noticeable gaps compared with the major national carriers.

Both companies' services roam outside of our networks. We have partnerships with other providers, so that your experience can be as smooth as possible in all our provinces.
