Are Interactive Displays Actually Improving Remote Collaboration?

I've noticed that many workplaces and training centers are replacing traditional projectors and meeting room setups with interactive displays. The idea seems great on paper, but I'm curious whether they actually improve collaboration in day-to-day use.

One display that came up during my research was the Viper IntelliScreen. From what I've seen, it combines touch interaction, screen sharing, annotation tools, and video conferencing features into a single setup. However, marketing material always makes these solutions look more useful than they sometimes are in reality.

For those who regularly participate in remote meetings, training sessions, or hybrid work environments:

  • Do interactive displays make meetings more productive?
    • Are the collaboration and annotation features something people genuinely use?
    • Have they reduced the need for additional hardware in your meeting rooms?
    • What challenges have you experienced after switching from a traditional projector setup?

I'm interested in hearing real-world experiences before making any recommendations internally. Whether you've used Viper IntelliScreen or a similar interactive display, I'd appreciate your feedback.
