Porting (514) Bell landline to Videotron modem in (450) area code

My mother-in-law is planning to move to Vaudreuil (450 area code) from Ile Perrot (514 area code). She would like to keep her Bell landline number which she has used for the last 15 years.

Does anyone know if she can port that number to her new address in Vaudreuil using Videotron's cable phone modem and keep the 514 area code even though she's in a region with a 450 area code?

Thanks in advance!

I'm surprised that nobody has replied yet after a week. Is this an uncommon request?

Hello grajewski,

For this kind of questions, it is preferable to contact directly the Customer Service as the forum is more a helpdesk between users.

As for you question, by moving in another area code, the phone number must be changed.  It would not be possible to keep the 514 number, unless it is transferred on a mobile line instead of a landline.

Thank you !
