Honestly, if you're getting "Access Denied" on the forum, the thread was probably merged or archived because so many people are hitting this same wall right now. You aren't imagining things—it’s a known sync bug. The reason it works when you spam the "Send/Receive" button is just luck; you're catching a connection window before the server times out. Try this quick fix: Go into your Account Settings, find the Advanced tab, and slide the Server Timeouts up to 3 minutes. It gives the app more breathing room to finish the handshake.
