Re: Port forwarding using ip adress - Helix Fi
Same issue. Were you ever successful? I want to remotely access my windows server but not use the default well-known port 3389. Every time I get the list of potential machines to forward to, some different names appear. Agree with "Why can't I just enter te LAN IP address of the machine I want to go to?" Frustratingly, I had this working at one point and it no longer works. My redirection entry is gone. Maybe the other person with the router admin password did something, waiting to hear back from him.1,4 kVues1like1CommentaireRe: Helix FI - Configuration de Port Forwarding - décevant!!!
Can you change the IP range used by the router?
I also have configuration requirements specific to my location having to do with static VS DHCP, and I have an unanswered question here related to that. Specifically, I am able to assign a specific range to the DHCP pool, like 10.0.0.250 to 10.0.0.253, but when I try to assign the MAC of my server and printers to a static IP like 10.0.0.50, say, Iget an error telling me the addresss needs to be from the pool. In my mind, that's contradictory, no? If I don't get an answer to my own threadsoon, I will jsut force my server and printer themselves to have the static IP I want, rather than have the Helix do it.4,2 kVues0like0CommentaireLAN IP address assignments - DHCP VS Reserved VS Static
Newbie with the Helix router. Why is it that if I want to assign a static IP to my servers and printers, the address needs to be in the DHCP pool? Seems conter-intuitive... In my personal case, I wanted to reserve 10.0.0.0/24 IPs .50-.99 for network equipment .100-.125 for servers .150-.175 for printers .200-.253 for the DHCP pool So I modified the DHCP scope OK, but when I then selected one of my servers from the device list and tried to make it static at 10.0.0.100, I got an error saying that IP was not in the DHCP range. Feature or bug?1,7 kVues0like3Commentaires
