Only recording 8 seconds of a specific show

Any idea why I can never get my pvr to fully record 'the five' on foxnews news? It only records 4-8 seconds, every single day and I don't know why. Even if I set it up to manually record, I still only got 6 seconds today

I have hundreds of series recordings setup that never fail. 'the five' is the only show I can consistently reproduce this issue with

  • Hi! That is indeed a weird behavior. Does this happen on a traditional illico box, or does it happen on Helix?

Illico box. I'm just curious if anyone has seen any similar behaviour tbh

Hi there! Are you recording the show manually or, did you program the show to record automatically?

  • After deleting all the episodes and manually adding a single recording it seems to work now. So odd
  • That’s interesting, especially how short clips like that can change the way we perceive a full show. It really makes you think about how much context gets lost in just a few seconds of recording. I came across some related info through Bell County Dockets that explains how records and case details are organized and accessed. It gives a clearer picture of how structured information can be, even when content online feels fragmented. Definitely adds another layer to how we look at brief recordings like this.

  • It’s frustrating when a scheduled recording stops after only a few seconds on a consistent basis. This usually points to a guide data conflict, subscription glitch, or channel-specific broadcast issue that affects recording behavior. For related reference on legal and public information searches you can also review Court Case Search which organizes structured records in a simple way. You may also want to re-create the series recording or check for duplicate entries to see if it resolves the problem.
