I've had HELIX with GIGA speed for almost 3 years. So far, it's been pretty reliable but there are occasional interruptions and slowdowns. Certainly better than Illico. But over the last 2 months, I've been losing Internet or WiFi connections several times during the day. These are short disruptions...a minute or a few. Several times too the HELIX receivers can't connect to the gateway. But after a few minutes it's OK. It's become a real annoyance. So I called technical support last week. They told me right away that I have electromagnetic interference. Apparently, they have a tool that tells them this. Happens at fairly regular intervals not not exactly at predicable times and rarely overnight. But nothing has changed in my home. The gateway is still in the same place and nothing is blocking it. I haven't bought anything like a soundbar or smart TV or any new appliance. This problem has come out of nowhere. Maybe a neighbor? I live in brick a home and my neighbor's homes are all brick too. I have a hard time believing that's the cause. Anyone else have a similar problem? How do you go about finding the problem. The support guy said I could download the NetSpot app which I did. But I can't really figure out how this product works. Any one have experience with such a tool? If this continues, I'm going to Switch to Bell Fibre direct 3.0 Gbps.Résolu42Vues0like4Commentaires

Bonjour, Je viens de m'abonner à Internet Giga et je dois dire que la qualité du produit est nettement inférieur à ce que j'attendais. En fait, je n'ai jamais réussi à atteindre les vitesses annoncées, ni en amont, ni en aval. Je comprends bien que la vitesse n'est pas garantie, mais quand on précise que ça peut aller jusqu'à 50 Mbit/s en amont et jusqu'à 940 Mbp/s en aval et qu'il faut un branchement Ethernet pour s'en rapprocher, c'est un peu passé date. En Wi-Fi, je réussis parfois à atteindre les 50 Mbit/s en amont, par contre en aval, quand j'ai touché les 600 Mbp/s, c'est pas mal au top. Pour moi, la vitesse est un enjeu car je transfère régulièrement des fichiers lourds (photo, vidéo) dans le cadre de mon travail. Or, je ne sais pas si c'est un problème d'équipement, parce qu'on ne m'a pas offert de passer à la plus récente version de borne Helix Fi, ou si c'est un problème d'emplacement (pourtant la borne est à moins de 2 mètres de mon poste de travail), mais c'est un réel problème. Possible que la borne y soit pour quelque chose. J'ai passé une heure avec un représentant du service technique et jamais, on ne m'a parlé de cette possibilité. Bref, pour moi, je ne vois aucune différence entre Internet 400 (ce que j'avais jusqu'à la semaine dernière) et Internet Giga. Vous dites quoi ?Résolu2,6 kVues0like1Commentaire
