From January 18 to February 10, 2024, Videotron invites you to unleash the yeti in you at Igloofest Montréal! As proud partners of the 16th edition of this mythical electronic music festival, we want to give Igloosapiens the best experience possible. Check out our 7 tips for having the time of your life on the world’s coldest dance floor.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
- Plan your wardrobe
Bust out your wildest winter duds! The Igloofest dress code is big on neon colours, retro fur, and one-pieces. Hit the thrift stores to find that head-turning snowsuit or accessory.
- Get in the groove by checking out the artists on the bill
Bookmark the Igloofest 2024 playlist on Spotify to catch music from the local and international DJs who’ll be setting the stage alight when you’re in the crowd.
DURING THE EVENT
- Stop by the Videotron Dep
New this year, the Videotron Dep will be onsite to welcome Igloosapiens and help amp up their experience. Come warm up by the firepits, help yourself to the gum dispensers, get lozenges and marshmallows, or pick up handy items like tissues, mitten clips, ear plugs, lip balm, magic gloves, and face balm. Stop by the service counter if you need to leave any of your belongings at the cloakroom or locate lost items. The Videotron Dep is the most convenient stop in Igloovillage!
- Use the QR codes
Get quick access to festival information by scanning the QR codes displayed at the Videotron Dep. The event schedule, Après-Ski events, transportation, contests, site map—everything you need is right there at your fingertips! And to make sure you can use your phone throughout the event, check out our 10 tips to protect your phone from the cold.
- Head up to the Dep rooftop terrace
Word on the street is that the Videotron Dep rooftop terrace has the best view of the site! Come snap a few pics, magnified by parabolic mirrors that give an original effect. Lost your crew in the crowd? The terrace is the ideal place to rendezvous if you get separated. Share your location with your friends using your mobile device and meet up on the rooftop terrace!
AFTER THE EVENT
- Share your experience on social media
Don’t keep all the fun to yourself! Share the best photos of your alter igloo and watch the likes pile up like snowflakes in a blizzard. And don’t forget to tag us on Instagram at @igloofest_mtl and @Videotron—we want to see how your experience went, too!
- The beat goes on in Québec City
From March 7 to 9, Igloofest will set Québec City’s Place Jean-Béliveau alight with an all-star lineup of talent. The group Above and Beyond and Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies are among the performers you won’t want to miss! Cold-weather warriors, hit Highway 20 and head for Igloofest Québec.
Whatever the weather, it’s a go!
When the temperature dips below zero, the Igloofest dance floor is the hottest place in the province. Don’t let the weather freeze your enthusiasm. Bundle up, drop by the Videotron Dep when you need to warm up, and party like there’s no tomorrow. Happy Igloofest!
