No picture, no sound? Frozen terminal? Television set turning off by itself every day at the same time? Here’s a roundup from our tech expert of some problems that you can easily solve yourself.
1.Your screen has gone black. Is there still hope?
Of course! The first thing to do is to make sure your TV and your terminal are plugged and turned on.
If this is the case and your screen is still unresponsive, there’s a good chance the problem is with your input selection (HDMI1, HDMI2, AV, etc.). Watch this short video to see how to make sure you’ve selected the correct input.

2. Your terminal is frozen or excruciatingly slow. Take radical action!
It’s not very complicated: if your terminal is frozen or sluggish, unplug it and plug it in again. In most cases, that’s all it takes.
Resetting your terminal is usually a very effective shock treatment when it’s struggling. Just wait a few minutes to give the terminal time to reboot and you’re ready to go!
Don’t be afraid, your preferences and settings, as well as your recorded content and set recordings will be saved.
3. Your TV shuts off every day at the same time. Why?
It can be upsetting if your TV seems to have a mind of its own. However, it is almost certainly because of the automatic standby mode that is often enabled by default on our terminals.
That means that after a specified period of inactivity, your terminal goes to sleep in order to save energy (in line with the Energy Star 3.0 standards). Just turn the terminal on again and your TV set will revive.
