So it’s been a big month for downloading. You’ve watched a lot of series (maybe too many!). Your kids, who you love dearly, have spent their last few weeks playing online, as much on their console as on their computer and phones, not to mention streaming their games.
Basically, you need more data for your mobile device and Internet plan. Here’s what you can do to temporarily add more data to your account:
Mobile phone: how to add Data Add-ons
How to do it?
- Go into the User Centre + app or your online Videotron Customer Centre account.
- Go to the Manage your mobile Data Add-ons section, then:
- Choose the phone number for which you would like to add a Data Add-on,
- Click on Add an On-Demand Data Add-on,
- Choose the Data Add-on that best meets your needs,
- Click on Confirm.
- Use your new Data Add-on as soon as you receive the confirmation number; the Data Add-on will be valid until the end of your current billing cycle.
Is this a one-time addition? How can I make it recurring?
On-Demand Data Add-ons are added to your available data for the current billing cycle only, and will not renew automatically the following month.

How to do it?
- Go into your online Videotron Customer Centre account.
- Click on the Manage your Data Add-ons link in the Internet section.
- Click on Add a Data-Add-on, then choose the Data Add-on that best meets your needs.
- Click on Confirm, once you have accepted the terms and conditions.
Is this a one-time addition? How can I make it recurring?
To start with, a supplementary Data Add-on is valid for the current billing cycle only. However, you can add a permanent Data Add-on if you need it.
When you add the Data Add-on via the Customer Centre or the User Centre + app, make sure to check the box: “I would like this Data Add-on to be renewed automatically with each billing cycle” and that’s all you need to do.
Two things to know before you finish
- If you have already exceeded the data limit of your mobile plan, and you add a Data Add-on, this will not cover the overage already incurred. However, it will apply to any data that you use, starting from when you add it.
- Concerning your Internet access, if you tend to always come close to your data limit, you should maybe think about adding data to your plan. In the Customer Centre, you can compare your monthly data consumption with our selection of Internet plans, and choose the one that best meets your needs!
