How do I connect my computer to the Wi-Fi 6 of the new Helix Fi 2 gateway?

With the arrival of the new Helix Fi 2 gateway comes the launch of Wi-Fi 6 technology. As the latest generation of standard Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6 offers many benefits, including improved download capacity, increased capacity for more devices, and enhanced performance.

Several recent devices (2019 and onward) are compatible with Wi-Fi 6. To find out if your devices are compatible, refer to the manufacturer’s site to see if the word “ax” appears in the device’s Wi-Fi settings (e.g., “Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax”).

After installing your Helix Fi 2 terminal, you may need to update your computer’s network card drivers to take full advantage of Wi-Fi 6 technology.

We therefore recommend that you check if updates to your network card are available, and run them to avoid any connection problems.

On a computer using Windows

1. Open the Device Manager.
2. Click on Network Card and select your card.
3. Select the Update Driver option.

In any case, it may be a good idea to download the update directly from your network card manufacturer’s website.
