Blocked PIN? Here’s how to reset

It’s happened to everyone: you enter the wrong PIN. A few times. With insistence and without understanding why. And when you finally realize your mistake, you’re too late.

Consequence: access to your voicemail is blocked until the PIN can be reset.


The good news is that resetting your voicemail PIN is pretty easy. Here’s how to do it:


1 – Sign in to your Customer Centre account.


2 – Under «Mobile» and then «Your device and options», click on «Reset your voicemail password».


3 – Under the telephone number with the blocked voicemail, click on «Reset password». A temporary PIN will show up.


4 – From your mobile phone, access your voicemail and enter the temporary PIN.


5 – Then select options 4, then 2, then 1. You will be prompted to enter your new PIN, followed by the # sign. To confirm your PIN, you must enter it a second time, followed again by the # sign.


Your PIN has now been changed!

It is recommended to use a PIN for security and confidentiality reasons, but if you want, you can configure your voicemail in such a way that allows you to skip entering your PIN. Here’s how:


1 – access your voicemail through your mobile phone;
2 – dial 4 to configure your messaging system;
3 – dial 2 to choose your settings options;
4 – dial 1 to manage your PIN options;
5 – dial 1 to change the PIN Skip option;
6 – dial 1 to skip entering your PIN or 2 to keep this option.
