Montreal Alouettes fans, we know how much you love to follow your favourite team. That’s why we’re sharing everything you need to know so you don’t miss a single touchdown, wherever you are! Check out our tips for using Helix TV to view game schedules, record games remotely, or watch a game online.

Where can I watch Alouettes games live?

Alouettes games are broadcast live on RDS and TSN. To access these channels on Helix, you must be subscribed to a plan with the Sports option. Don’t have this option? Find out how to change your plan.

How to watch the Alouettes live online

If you’re on the road, camping, or at the cottage (in other words, far away from your TV terminal and the usual comforts of your living room), you can still watch a game live with the Helix TV app, included free with all Helix TV plans. Download it on Google Play or on the App Store, and watch the kick-off from your phone or tablet anywhere in Québec!

You can also watch the Alouettes online on the Helix TV Web platform. Note that to access RDS or TSN on the app or the Web, these channels must be included in your subscription.

Missed the beginning of the game? Using the voice remote, say “Replay” to restart the game from the beginning. This feature is available throughout the game! Note that you can’t use fast forward while watching a program with the Replay feature.

How can I find out if there’s an Alouettes game tonight?

Just ask your remote! Say “Calendar Alouettes” to find out the date and time of upcoming games. You can also press the C key to launch the Sports app and view the team calendar of your choice. Learn more about the Sports app.

How can I watch other CFL games?

To view the calendar for other CFL teams, use the voice remote and say “LCF” or “CFL.” You can also press the C key to launch the Sports app, then press the right arrow to navigate to the CFL section.

Do you follow several Canadian Football League teams? Add your top teams to your favourites list. In the Sports app, select a game, then +Add to your list, and choose the team you want to follow. You’ll be able to view the upcoming games schedule for all your favourite teams at a glance, in My list!

To find out the dates of all games in the football season, check the CFL broadcast schedule.

How can I watch the Grey Cup live?

The 2024 Grey Cup finals will take place on Sunday, November 17, at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. Good news for armchair athletes: The final game of the season will be broadcast in English on CTV, a channel included in all Helix TV subscriptions, whether they include the Sports option or not. The game will also be broadcast simultaneously on RDS and TSN. Fingers crossed the Alouettes get to take part again this year!

I forgot to record the game and I’m not at home.

No problem! Record the game remotely from the Helix TV app.

  1. Launch the Helix TV app and sign in as needed.
  2. Go to Browse.
  3. In the search field, enter Alouettes and select Montreal Alouettes.
  4. Tap Record team.

Can I watch the Alouettes live on TV, even if I’m not at home?

Of course! From anywhere in Québec, you can start watching the game on the Helix TV app, then cast your mobile device content to a TV using Chromecast or AirPlay. Watch the game at a friend’s place or at the cottage, on the screen of your choice. Isn’t that great?

How can I follow multiple games at the same time?

Die-hard sports fans, these final tips are for you.

  • If you want to watch several games at once, you can easily toggle between channels using the voice command. For example, say “RDS” or “TVA Sports” to rapidly switch between channels.
  • At any time, view the live score by pressing the right arrow on the remote, which displays the Sports app panel.
  • Don’t want to miss a thing? You can watch one game on a TV and another on a mobile device or computer—the Helix TV app lets you use up to five devices simultaneously.

And why not go to a game in person?

Supporting the Alouettes from your living room is fun, but cheering the players on in person is even better! Attend an Alouettes game at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium for a life-size football experience. And while you’re there, visit the Videotron Dep, offering all kinds of amenities. Whether you’re watching on screen or in person, we wish you a fantastic football season!
