This spring break, take some time off between a couple of outdoor activities to watch TV as a family! Discover shows and movies on Club illico that are sure to delight both little and not-so-little ones alike. Content for all tastes that you can enjoy whenever you want.

Cartoons to add some fun to your day

Kids love animated movies. Sonic fans will be happy to watch the second instalment in the series, Sonic 2, which skillfully blends animation with live-action shots. Don’t know the story behind this video game hero? Start with the first movie, Sonic, the Hedgehog, to learn all about it!

New to the Club is The Last Dragonslayer, a beautiful fantasy epic in which an orphan tries to save a dragon.

Other sure-fire animated hits include Sing! and The Boss Baby. In the former, talented animals take part in a singing competition and show off their skills. In the latter, a seemingly angelic baby is actually a spy on a very specific mission. A beautiful metaphor for the upheaval created when a younger sibling is born.

Looking for something shorter? Larva is a great cartoon to keep toddlers busy while you’re cooking. This cartoon with no script, similar to Minions, strings together funny situations experienced by two friendly larvae. Even grown-ups will be glued to the screen!

Blasts from the past

Club illico features a host of classics you’ll enjoy sharing with your kids as much as you’ll love watching them (maybe for the hundredth time!).

First, you’ll find the 24 Tales for All, a series of children’s movies that have marked an entire generation. Must-watch features include:

Take the opportunity to discover others you might not have seen yet!

Let’s keep that classic train rolling with mega hits like The Karate Kid, Hook (with the unforgettable Robin Williams as Peter Pan), and Matilda, the little girl with telekinesis powers.

Why not plan a themed day that also includes a movie? Have yourself a board game day starting with the original Jumanji, released in 1995, or the latest instalments starring The Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. You could also end a sports-filled day by watching Space Jam, or kick a spookier day up a notch with Goosebumps.

What about teens?

There’s lots in store for older kids as well. In La vie compliquée de Léa Olivier, a Club illico exclusive, discover the story of 14-year-old Léa, a new Montréal resident who’s trying to fit in at her new school. Made-in-Québec content that gives it to teens straight: what’s not to love?

In the same vein, La dérape tells the story of Julia, a young race car pilot who wants to achieve her ambitions while juggling the vagaries of her family and social life. Those who prefer action series will love The Flash, The 100, and Batwoman, which will keep them on the edge of their seats until school starts.

Hey, parents! Spend some quality time with your teen by watching series you enjoyed at their age, like Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill, or Smallville. You’ll get to both have fun and unwind with the kids: the perfect combo.
