Helix TV for my Mother - Can I support it remotely?

Hello,

I am thinking of getting Helix for my mother who is 91 and almost blind; the main reason is for the voice remote which I think would make her life a lot easier. (I've asked another question about this elsewhere.)

What I need to know is whether or not I will need to help her out by telephone often - I live an hour away so it's awkward to fix things that go wrong. Can anyone enlighten me about things that sometimes don't work properly - things that are easy to fix if you known what you're doing but not necessarily if you can't see.

I'm thinking of things like - does the remote ever become unpaired? Does the box ever get out of sync with the TV i.e. one is on and the other is off? That kind of thing ...

Thanks,

Susan
