You’ve got a new digital PVR: time to try it out!

There are four ways to record a show:

1. Record the show that you’re watching.
2. Program your PVR to record a certain show through the program guide.
3. Program your PVR to record during a certain timeslot.
4. Program a recording through illico.tv or through the mobile app.

Record a show that you’re watching

If you’re watching a show from the beginning, you can select Record at anytime throughout the broadcast, and the recording will take place from the beginning of your viewing.

• Hit the Record button (the red circle).

• If you are watching a series, select “Record this episode” to record only the episode you’re watching. Select “Record this series” to record all the episodes of a specific series.

• If you’re watching a show, select “Record” to record only the show that is currently playing. Select “Repeat recording” to record the show currently playing, each time it is broadcast.

To change the recording settings listed above, hit the B button and choose among the following options:

1. Repeat or do not repeat recording.
2. Determine recording frequency.
3. Determine the recording period to be saved.
4. Select “Record”. When you confirm these changes, the “REC” icon will appear onscreen.

Program a recording in advance, using the program guide

To program the recording of a show in advance, don’t forget to:

• Hit the Guide button.

• Select the program that you wish to record and hit the Record button (the red circle).

• If you’d like to record a series, select “Record this episode” to record only the episode that is currently showing, or “Record this series” to record all the episodes of a specific series.

• If you’d like to record a show, select “Record” to record only the show that is playing, or “Repeat recording” to record the show currently playing, each time it is broadcast, if the option is available.

To change the recording settings, hit the B button. The title of the programmed recording will be outlined in red in the program guide.

Program a manual recording during a certain timeslot

A manual recording is not linked to a particular show listed in the schedule, but is made according to a predetermined date and timeslot, which can be useful for recording a block of shows that are broadcast over several timeslots.

To do this:

1. Hit the Menu button to show the main menu.
2. With the arrows, select “Record”.
3. With the arrows, select “Manual Recording”.

Fill in the required fields to configure your recording.

Program a recording while away from home

Through illico.tv or your Videotron mobile device, you can configure a recording in advance, so that you don’t have to miss your favourite shows.

To plan your recording, you can indicate the show to be recorded by selecting it in the program guide. You can also plan a manual recording with the desired period of time, no matter how many timeslots are covered by it.

To change a recording in progress

To stop, save or delete a recording while in progress, hit the Stop button and select the desired option.

To watch a show you have recorded

1. Hit the List button, select a program and hit OK.
2. While watching, hit the Pause button to suspend watching and hit the Stop button to go back to the beginning of the recording or erase it.
3. If you haven’t finished watching a program, go back to regular programming by hitting the Exit button twice.
