Mobile Service Transfer
Mobile service transfer shouldn't be this painful nowadays.
Moved two lines from Fido to Videotron, which Fido disabled receiving calls right away(expected). But we've been waiting with black-out for the new SIM cards for 5 business days(not counting weekend) ONLY to find out that a delivery was attempted the day after we signed up and now our new SIM cards are waiting in the shipping company warehouse to be "re-scheduled".
Videotron is using "planete courrier" which is fine, but:
- No one scheduled the delivery time with us so we can be home for that
- And no notification that delivery was even attempted! At least let us know!
Another thing is, why are we still using these physical SIM cards in North America? why can't we use eSIMs like in Europe or other progressed countries?
Anyways, the moving experience could've been much better and smoother.

Hello!
That does sound incredibly frustrating! The lack of communication and the inconvenience of physical SIM cards can be a real hassle. The adoption of eSIM technology would definitely streamline the process and eliminate the wait for physical deliveries.
For now, consider contacting Videotron secret menus starbucks and the courier service to expedite the rescheduling of your SIM card delivery. Hopefully, future mobile service transfers will be more seamless with better technology and customer service practices in place.
